That's a really good story. It made sense.The irony of him going to convert them, and them ending up turning him away from his religion entirely, is funny. Sort of profound.Reality is a good thing....

Daniel's faith no doubt began from birth or from childhood when he 'inherited' that faith from his parents. I can see why he would have lost his faith given the cultural differences he experienced....
